A Fabulous First Day at the Global Symposium

The theme of collaboration was everywhere today as three asynchronous sessions and six synchronous sessions kicked off day 1 of the Global Symposium. Even more striking than the presenters from four different continents were the attendees from six - Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Threads of discussion across pedagogy, technology, culture, collaboration, learning, information, understanding, empathy and transformation. Perhaps most-interesting in this open exchange of ideas and experiences is the challenge to rise above cultural-centric attitudes and values to look towards a global vision of the world our children will inherit as a result of the work we are currently undertaking. It has been a very satisfying day!

Please rememebr to complete the session evaluation form for the sessions you attended today at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/C9XLWW3 and get a look at the line-up for tomorrow at http://crste.org/globalsymposium2010.html.

Rest up Symposium-goers....tomorrow is going to ROCK!
